District Chief Executive, Mr. Kwadwo Osei Asibey

The Sunyani West District Assembly has followed the example of the Sunyani Municipal Assembly by terminating contracts under the School Feeding Programme in the district.

Space FM has intercepted one of the letters written by the District Chief Executive, Mr. Kwadwo Osei Asibey terminating the appointment of one of the caterers.

The DCE said in the letter that following numerous complains from the public about poor services rendered by some caterers of the school feeding programme in the district, it has become necessary to holistically review their operations.

Consequently, the DCE revoked the appointment of the caterers with effect from July 31, 2009.

Mr. Assibey said all areas due the dismissed caterers would be paid when funds are released from the National Headquarters of the Programme.

Meanwhile, the DCE has advised the caterers to hand over properly and any property of the programme in their possession to their head teachers and reapply for reconsideration if they so desire.
